Hi there, and welcome to my website. I'm here in cyberspace to promote my acting, singing and voiceover
career. I'm originally from Austin, Texas, but I've been in New York City since 1998. I took a bit of a break from
it all, returning to Texas from July 2007 until Feburary 2008, but I'm back in the thick of things again in this
amazing city.
I returned to auditioning with a vengeance after a prolonged rent overcharge battle with my landlord which kept
me away from it for about 4 years (I represented myself and finally won, mostly - long story, don't ask). Legal
papers take a lot of time! But it allowed me to dedicate myself full-time to performing for a while.
As an actress, I'm most naturally a maternal type who's something of a cross between Carrie Fisher and
Janeane Garofalo, with a hint of Glenn Close thrown in. The characters I'm most similar to (and would most
love to play!) are Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Special Agent Dana Scully (Gillian
Anderson). As a voiceover, I'm compassionate and authoritative. And as a singer I have a rich, solid sound, a
soprano (to high C) with a strong belt/mix and a rich low range, too.
All-in-all, I'm an intelligent young woman who, in addition to performing, enjoys science (I subscribe to Scientific
American and Scientific American Mind, and I usually read them cover-to-cover), and nature (I've had a
membership to the Bronx Botanical Garden for years). I occasionally do some creative writing, and I also enjoy
drawing and painting in rare downtime. Oh, and I crochet, too. And I'm a big fan of LOST.
So, that's a little bit about me. Another "little" bit - I'm short. 5'0".
